High–strength polyester strap is widely used worldwide for packaging and transporting a variety of cargo: timber and lumber (board, beam, plywood, particle board), brick, steel refractories, secure cargo on pallets, etc.

FROMM together with Europack Group created a polyester strap STARstrap™, which is ideal for heavy industry and successfully put into production in Europe and the CIS.

In comparison with steel strap PET strap has a number of advantages:

  • Technical specifications: tensile strength of the PET strap is lower in comparison with steel strap but only on 10%;
  • Bigger coefficient of elasticity: because of elastic memory better keeps a package, with loads tends to stretch a little, when the load is removed to return to its original position, it is resistant to impact loads;
  • Lighter weight: 4 times lighter than steel strap;
  • Injury free operation: no sharp edges, workers are not injured during strapping operations;
  • When packing materials with removable or folding edges, protective corners are not required;
  • No oxidation: no rust, stored for long without losing its properties;
  • Aesthetic appearance of the packaging;
  • Environmentally friendly: well utilized.
